Who am I ππ?
Hello! π I'm Sreejeet Maity, a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University, working with Dr. Aritra Mitra. My research interests span Control Theory, Large Scale Machine Learning, Statistical Learning Theory, and Adversarial Reinforcement Learning. I have a strong background in Probability Theory, Linear Algebra, Stochastic Optimization, Randomized Algorithms, and Robust Statistics. My current collaborations include work with Leonardo Felipe Toso and Prof. James Anderson at Columbia University on representation learning and control for reliable decision-making systems. My current interests also include violation-constrained reinforcement learning under model uncertainty and robust LLM post-training through adaptive adversarial curricula and distributionally robust optimization.
I completed my M.Tech. in Robotics and Autonomous Systems from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, in 2023, and my B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, in 2021. During my masterβs at IISc, I focused on perturbative networked systems and perceptive algorithms for swarms. Beyond my passion for mathematics, I also enjoy cooking, reading, writing poetry, and reflecting deeply while watching the night sky. Also, I love cats and elephants. A lot. πβ€οΈπΈ
